Kirk and Jan represent First State Bank who are sponsoring the ACC students of the month. MacKenzie was chosen for her exceptional performance, both Academically (A+), and for her excellent skill sets (bed side manner, taking of vital signs, and the other 21 CNA skills).
MacKenzie was awarded a yard sign, gift card, Yeti Mug and other First State items, as well as an ACC certificate and medallion.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will be presenting information regarding basic financial assistance for attending college on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the high school.
You don't want to miss this very informative presentation which will include basic information about how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and how financial aid works from federal, state, and private institutions. The 2024-2025 FAFSA is projected to be available in December 2023 for students attending a post-secondary institution in the Fall of 2024. Completing the FAFSA is a graduation requirement.
Henry-Senachwine Freshman Sam Nauman is up for NewsTrib Athlete of the Week Honors for her efforts in swimming.
Nauman, a freshman from Henry-Senachwine, broke an L-P co-op record in the 100-yard by swimming a 1:01.6 on Tuesday. She also won the 100 butterfly in that meet. Thursday she won two individual events and swam on two winning relays. Saturday she had two top-5 finishes at the Metea Valley Invite.
