January 4, 2021
Dear Henry-Senachwine Families:
Henry-Senachwine Schools will be moving to remote learning for the week of January 4 - January 8. We plan to return to in-person learning on January 11.
We continue to remain confident in the health and safety protocols being implemented in both schools. Given concerns about the virus spreading during the upcoming holiday season, it has been decided to transition to remote learning for the week following winter break. By doing so, we are hopeful that this window of time will allow individuals the opportunity to identify any possible spread of the virus and quarantine before bringing the virus into the schools. For the continued safety of the staff, students, and community, please continue to contact your student’s school if your student has COVID-19 symptoms, is considered a close contact, or has tested positive for the virus.
The following schedule will be used for the week of remote learning:
Monday, January 4 Remote Learning Planning Day (No Student Attendance)
Tuesday, January 5 Remote Learning Day (Student Attendance- Red Day)
Wednesday, January 6 Remote Learning Day (Student Attendance-Black Day)
Thursday, January 7 Remote Learning Day (Student Attendance- Red Day)
Friday, January 8 Remote Learning Day (Student Attendance- Black Day)
Monday, January 11 Return to In-Person Learning (Student Attendance)
School meals will be available during the week of remote learning for those families wishing to pick up meals, and more information will be provided on how to request meals for the week.
Additional information on daily schedules and expectations for the week will soon be provided by your child’s school.
We wish all of you happy holidays! Again, thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael Miller, Superintendent
Dr. Julie Nelson, HSGS/JH Principal
Dr. Jon Hill, HSHS Principal
