Alexia Serpette is the Henry-Senachwine High School Student of the Month for February. Lexi is the daughter of Michael and Shannon Serpette. Lexi was nominated and selected by the HSHS faculty and staff.
Lexi is a senior at HSHS and is involved in the school as well as student life. Lexi is the Class of 2025 Vice President and has been a High Honor Roll student all four years. She was recently selected as an Illinois State Scholar and is a member of the National Honor Society. She has also participated in FCCLA, one year; HSHS Gives Back, one year; Mallard Athletic Club, four years; and Yearbook, four years.
Lexi has participated in Cross Country, four years; Scholastic Bowl, four years, Softball, four years; Volleyball, four years; and has been selected for Academic All-Conference all four years of high school.
Outside of school, Lexi has a Silver Cord designation with 325+ hours of volunteer service. She has volunteered at the Henry American Legion, with MSW Projects, the River Valley Players, Vacation Bible School, the Henry Summer Rec, and many more.After high school, Lexi plans to attend Monmouth College with a double major in Biochemistry and Health Science & Human Movement and move on to medical school to become a Physical Therapist.
Lexi will be recognized on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Henry-Senachwine C.U.S.D. #5 Board of Education meeting. She will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating her as "Student of the Month." In addition, she will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
