Kaitlyn Anderson has been named the December Student of the Month at Henry-Senachwine High School. She is the daughter of Ryan and Erika Anderson. Kaitlyn was selected from a group of students nominated by the Henry-Senachwine High School faculty and staff.
Currently a senior at HSHS, Kaitlyn is very involved in the school and student life. Kaitlyn has been an Honor Roll student all through high school and is a current member of the National Honor Society. She has participated in FCA, four years; MAC, four years; MDWAP, two years; and Student Council, four years. Kaitlyn has played all four years on the Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball teams and has been recognized as an Academic All-Conference Team member in each of these sports.
Outside of school, Kaitlyn volunteers with #ChooseJoy, Extra Love, Henry Food Pantry, and Vacation Bible School and is also involved with the Aftershock USSSA Softball Travel Team.
After high school, Kaitlyn plans to attend Illinois Valley Community College on a full athletic scholarship to play Volleyball and Softball, while majoring in Education.
Kaitlyn will be recognized on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the meeting of the Henry-Senachwine Board of Education. She will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating her as "Student of the Month." In addition, she will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
