Jackson Knisley has been named the September Student of the Month at Henry-Senachwine High School. Jack was nominated, then selected from a group of students by the faculty and staff. He is the son of Kevin and Suzanne Knisley.
Jack is a senior at HSHS and is very involved in the school as well as student life. He has been an Honor Roll student for two years. Jack has been a Student Council member all four years, a class officer three years and is the current Student Council President. He has participated in Club Green, FBLA, FCA, FCCLA, FFA, HSHS Gives Back, Mallard Athletic Club, Mallard Investment Club, Math Team, MDWAP, and Yearbook. He has competed during high school as a member of Baseball and Golf.
Outside of school, Jack is an IHSA official in four sports. He is a member of Illinois Spot Breeder Association, 4-H, Team Purebred, and National Junior Swine Association. Jack has volunteered for St. Jude Hospital, Carle Health, and Pearce Community Center.
Jack plans to attend Illinois Central College then transfer to a four year university to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Marketing. He will also continue to operate Knisley Show Pigs.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the meeting of the Henry-Senachwine Board of Education, Jack will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the school district designating him as "September Student of the Month." In addition, he will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
