Lance Kiesewetter is the Henry-Senachwine High School, December, Student of the Month. Lance is the son of Jeremy & Aimee Kiesewetter. Lance was nominated and selected from a group of students by the Henry-Senachwine High School faculty and staff.
Lance is a senior at HSHS and is very involved in the school as well as student life. Lance has been a Honor Roll student all four years and was selected as a member of the Academic All-Conference Team. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has participated in Red Krush/MAC for four years; FCA for three years; Golf for four years; Basketball for three years; and Baseball, for four years. Lance was selected as a member of the Class 1A All-State Team and has been selected as a 1st Team All-Conference member the last two seasons. Lance was also chosen as the 1A Player of the Year by the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association for the 2022-2023 season and will be recognized at their annual banquet.
Outside of school, Lance is involved with the Henry Community Youth Group.
After high school, Lance plans to attend Heartland Community College to major in Exercise Science and play baseball.
On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the meeting of the Henry-Senachwine Board of Education meeting, Lance will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the school district designating him as "Student of the Month." In addition, he will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
The student body, faculty, and community congratulate Lance on receiving this honor in recognition of his accomplishments and contributions at HSHS!
