
Congratulations to 7th Grader Alex Tucker for placing 8th at the State Wrestling Championship in Rockford this past weekend. Alex is a member of the Timberwolves Wrestling Club in Sparland. He finished the season with a 20-6 record and is the first wrestler from the club to place and medal at State.


The Henry-Senachwine High School Prom is scheduled for May 7, 2022 at Shore Acres in Chillicothe.
The Henry-Senachwine High School Post Prom Committee is making plans to host the 2022 Post Prom Party on Saturday, May 7th.
The Post Prom Committee will meet tomorrow night, Thursday, March 10th, at 7:00 p.m. in the HSHS Media Center. Please enter the building through the main entrance as you would for games and other events.

Update on masks on school buses and vans:
The CDC recently announced that it will no longer require individuals to wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems.
As a result, masks will now be optional, not required, for individuals being transported on Henry-Senachwine School buses and vans. This change is effective immediately.

Dear Henry-Senachwine Families & Staff:
In light of the most recent JCAR decision, Henry-Senachwine School District has modified its COVID mitigations effective immediately. Please note that COVID mitigations are subject to change. The current mitigations are as follows:
The mask mandate is suspended - masks are optional. We will respect each individual choice regarding wearing/not wearing masks. Masks will continue to be available for anyone who voluntarily elects to do so.
Please note that masking on school buses is still required by CDC order and everyone must continue to wear masks while on District transportation.
Asymptomatic close contacts to COVID will not be excluded from school.
The weekly testing requirement for unvaccinated school personnel is suspended.

Meal Pick-Up (Optional):
During an E-Learning day, you can choose to order and pick up a meal for your children. If you choose to order a meal, please click the link below to submit your order. Congratulations to our 8th Grade Girls' Volleyball team on their victory in the Brittany Burash tournament last weekend. They were the team that came home with the trophy. Well done team and coaches!

7/8 Girls' Volleyball Game vs. Riverview at 5 :15 p.m. today is CANCELLED.
The volleyball teams will have practice after school until 5 p.m. today instead.

Due to the wind chill advisory, Henry-Senachwine Schools will have a late start today, Friday, January 7. The schools will be open to accept students at 9:40 a.m. and classes will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Bus transportation will be using a delayed schedule. If your student rides the bus, anticipate the bus arriving 90 minutes later than your normal bus pick-up time.
At HSHS: There will be no ACC classes this morning for those students enrolled.
At HSGS/JH: There will be no morning Pre-K classes. Afternoon Pre-K classes are scheduled.
Due to the late start, there will be no breakfast served.
Dismissal will occur at its regularly scheduled time.
