Henry-Senachwine School District #5 - Master Facility Planning - Update
Henry-Senachwine High School Academic Wing Addition and Renovations Approved
At the March 19th Henry-Senachwine School District # 5 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved bids for the Henry-Senachwine High School academic wing addition and renovation work, including renovations of the high school gym. The approved bids totaled approximately $17.5 million.
The project work on the new high school academic wing and renovations will begin the week of March 24th. A fence will be installed around the construction area, south and east of the high school. As a result, there will be no access to the high school through the south high school entry doors or the east parking lot drive that exits onto College Street. Given that these areas will not be accessible, additional logistical information on how to access the high school building will be provided to students and families before the return to school on March 31st.
The District will provide progress updates on the high school academic wing addition and renovation work on its website at www.hscud5.org, under tab ‘Master Facility Planning”. The Henry-Senachwine Board of Education will continue to meet monthly and welcomes public attendance at the meetings.
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael Miller
Superintendent
