Henry-Senachwine School District #5 - Master Facility Planning – Update
Property Tax Consultations & Facility Tour scheduled for August 20th at HSHS
Representatives from BCA Architects and Midwest Construction Professionals were present at the July 17th Henry-Senachwine CUSD #5 Board of Education meeting to provide an update on the master facility plans and the proposed high school academic wing addition. The update included additional renderings of the high school addition, refined project cost estimates, and an overview of project work phases.
A representative from Bernardi Securities will be available at Henry-Senachwine High School to meet with property taxpayers individually and provide an estimate of the property tax increase associated with funding the project cost and high school addition. Individual property tax consultations were held on August 10th and will occur again on a walk-in basis at the Henry-Senachwine High School Media Center Tuesday, August 20th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you plan on attending a property tax consultation, please bring a copy of your property tax bill to be reviewed.
Also, building tours of Henry-Senachwine High School will be available on August 20th from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. for those interested in viewing the current conditions of the high school.
The updated high school addition renderings and project cost estimates are available on the District website at www.hscud5.org, under the tab “Master Facility Planning”. The Henry-Senachwine Board of Education will continue to meet monthly and welcomes public attendance at the meetings.
