Henry-Senachwine School District #5 Accepting Bids for Used Vehicles
Henry-Senachwine School District #5 is accepting sealed bids for the following used vehicles. These vehicles are being sold “AS IS”:
1. 2011 Collins Micro Bus - 165K miles- 6.0 LS Engine. It has a misfire, and it has been determined to be an internal mechanical issue, possible bad lifter or bad camshaft lobe. Must be towed off lot-AS IS.
2. 2005 Ford F450 Micro Bus- 90K miles- 6.0 Diesel. It has a cracked EGR cooler, possible blown head gasket. Requires total engine removal for diagnostics/ repair. Must be towed off lot-AS IS.
3. 2008 Impala LS- 80K miles-3.9 V6. Frame requires replacement due to corrosion, also needs new brake lines, master cylinder ABS unit to be safely driven. Must be towed off lot- AS IS.
Sealed bids for the vehicles are being accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24th, 2024. The sealed bids should indicate the vehicle(s) the bid is for, the bid amount, and the contact information of the bidder. The bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24th, 2024 in the Henry-Senachwine High School cafeteria. The highest bid will be awarded the vehicle. In the event of a tie, a random draw for the bid will occur at the public bid opening.
